Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to information when you use 060calc.com (“060calc”, “we”, “us”). The short version: the calculator runs in your browser and the numbers you enter never leave your device. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used, and it sets cookies on your device.

What we do not collect

We do not ask you to create an account. The car details, times and results you enter into the calculator are processed locally in your browser. They are not sent to our servers, saved, added to the page address, or passed to Google Analytics.

What is stored on your device

  • Theme. If you choose light or dark mode, the choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the page does not flash the wrong theme. You can clear it any time in your browser settings.
  • Analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets two cookies, named _ga and _ga_QXWWK8BJNS, which hold a random identifier so that repeat visits can be recognised. They can last up to two years. See “Cookies, analytics and advertising” below for how to block or delete them.

Hosting and server logs

The site is delivered by a hosting provider, which may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request) for security and to keep the service running. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they open and how they found us, so that we can improve the calculator and guides. When you load a page, your browser sends Google information such as the page address, the page you came from, your browser, device and operating system, your approximate location (country or city), and the random identifier stored in the cookies described above. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google processes this data on our behalf and may process it in countries other than your own.

We use this information only in aggregate to measure traffic and usage. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and it does not include the values you enter into the calculator. The site does not currently show advertising. If we add advertising or other tracking in the future, we will update this policy first.

You can decline analytics in several ways: block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use your browser's tracking protection or a content blocker, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Our fonts are hosted on this site itself, so no third-party font request is made.

When you email us

If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it only to reply and to improve the site, and we do not sell or share it for marketing.

Children

The site is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

We keep very little personal data. You can stop analytics at any time using the options above, and clearing your cookies resets the identifier. If you have emailed us and want your messages deleted, or have any privacy question, contact us and we will help.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
